Distance: 12 Kilometers/7.5 Miles

Pick up from your hotel at 4:00 am in Cusco for transfer to the train station of Ollantaytambo or 6:00 am in. After an hour and 10 minutes on the Expedition train, we arrive at kilometer 104 at (6,927ft) of the Machu Picchu trainway. Here we begin the hike and pass by the first checkpoint. We begin a progressive climb for approx. three hours to the magnificent archaeological site of Wiñayhuana. Once we arrive, enjoy the spectacular views of the Urubamba canyon, stunning Inca sites and fantastic places.

We continue the hike direct to the Sun Gate (9,007ft). Were you will have the first view of Machu Picchu in all its majestic and monumental presence! After enjoying the view, we walk downhill to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Once there we will visit one of the most important energetic centers in the world “Machu Picchu”. A 2/2hours guided tour will take you into the fascinating history and places you will never forget.

Free time to explore Machupicchu by your own and take photos before we head down to Aguas Calientes. Free time for dinner In Aguas Calientes. You will return in the Expedition train to Ollantaytambo (Around 19:00) and board our private minivan to Cusco.
